The U.S. Division of Schooling (Division) in the present day launched the Profession and Technical Schooling (CTE) CHIPS Problem, a $1 million prize competitors, funded by the Carl D. Perkins Profession and Technical Schooling Act of 2006 (Perkins V) that seeks to broaden scholar recruitment, coaching, and placement methods in good-paying semiconductor fabrication (fab) building and superior manufacturing careers.
