NEW YORK  – US President Donald Trump named a regional airline chief to steer the Federal Aviation Administration on Monday because the company contends with security questions following a lethal crash in January.

Trump tapped Bryan Bedford, chief government of Republic Airways, to steer the company which manages the US Air Visitors Group and is overseeing Boeing’s security operations following a sequence of high-profile issues.
