Heavy rains have hit Mumbai and its surrounding areas within the final 24 hours resulting in widespread waterlogging and suburban practice companies. Some areas within the metropolis have recorded over 300 mm of rainfall inside six hours from 1 am to 7 am on Monday.
The India Meteorological Division (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and the Konkan belt. Vikhroli’s Veer Savarkar Marg Municipal Faculty and MCMCR Powai noticed the best rainfall within the final 24 hours as over 315 mm of rainfall was recorded.
