CEBU CITY, Philippines— Veteran bowler Rene Ceniza showcased his expertise and precision on the lanes to clinch the Sugbuanon Bowlers United (SUGBU) Shootout Event on Sunday, February 16.
Ceniza, a multiple-time month-to-month champion, delivered a stellar efficiency within the championship spherical, rolling a 203-pinfall to safe the title.
He outclassed Marvin Sevilla, who completed second with 176 pinfalls, whereas Bebie Mauro settled for third with 159 pinfalls through the match held at the SM Seaside Metropolis Cebu Bowling Middle.

Whereas the championship spherical had its justifiable share of pleasure, the largest storyline emerged through the qualifying rounds.
Mauro, 83
At 83 years outdated, Mauro defied expectations, proving that age is only a quantity. She dominated Division C with a formidable 704-pinfall whole in a four-game collection, marking the primary time in her profession that she topped a contest and superior to the stepladder finals.

Affectionately often called “Nanay Bebie” amongst her fellow SUGBU bowlers, Mauro outperformed Kianne Cesar (693) and Dory Enoveso (657), who completed second and third, respectively, in Division C.
In Division B, Sevilla, who later completed as runner-up within the championship spherical, topped the qualifiers with 780 pinfalls. Lemuel Paquibut (770) and Noli Valencia (767) took second and third place, respectively.

The Division A contest had its personal dramatic twist. Mark Hodgkinson emerged because the division champion with a formidable 876 pinfalls however opted out of the championship spherical as a consequence of a previous dedication.
This paved the best way for Ceniza, who had positioned second with 800 pinfalls, to grab the general title. Nestor Ranido (753) rounded out the rostrum in third place.
